Skeletor still owns the Global Championship. Xtreme Yard changed the shape of his next defense, however: Soul earned his place alongside Damien Skull at Hail to the King on November 1.

The difference between the two challenges matters. Skull entered Philadelphia as Skeletor’s Final Dominion partner. Soul stood opposite them, and his team’s victory activated the condition that put him into the title match. London brings those competing interests into the same ring.

Killer Kong, replacing Massacre, pinned Skull in the Tornado Tag. That gives Soul a qualifying team victory, but it does not establish that he has already beaten Skeletor in a singles title match. The distinction is central to this matchup.

Analysis: cooperation between Skeletor and Skull may look attractive early, but only one man can leave as Global Champion. Whether that tension becomes an advantage for Soul remains an open question.
